HIGHLIGHTS

Born and raised in the bustling city of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Merissa is an aspiring filmmaker and storyteller. Currently she is pursuing the Bachelor of Media Studies degree at the University of British Columbia.
​
Inspired by the works of the late Malaysian director, Yasmin Ahmad, she intends to create authentic and raw depictions of the human experience through her art.
